In a stark admission of exactly where Nick Begich, Donald Trump and House Republicans’ priorities lie, the president said yesterday “it’s not possible” for the government to cover costs for Medicare, Medicaid and child care.
The comments come as Alaska families are already facing skyrocketing health care costs thanks to Begich’s historic Medicaid cuts, and as they’re being crushed by the rising costs of groceries, gas, and child care.
Yet Begich – who has consistently fallen in line with Republicans’ cost-raising agenda – is silent.
DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Donald Trump just said the quiet part out loud: Nick Begich and Republicans aren’t interested in lowering costs for working families because they’re more focused on tax breaks for billionaires and funding endless wars. Begich has backed this agenda every step of the way, and it will cost him his seat.”
