Trump Sets Expectations Again, Predicts GOP Midterm Wipeout in November

Meanwhile, on a different planet, Richard Hudson is “very bullish,” according to the New York Post

Once again, Donald Trump is setting expectations about a coming midterm disaster for the Republican House majority.

Last week, in a strange attempt to explain away his plummeting job approval numbers, Trump opined to Sean Hannity that the party in power historically suffers defeat – under both Democratic and Republican presidents.

Now, it seems he’s all but accepted defeat, telling Reuters in an interview: “When you win the presidency, you don’t win the midterms.” Trump added, “we shouldn’t even have an election.”

Donald Trump knows his party is destined for doom this November after the razor-thin Republican majority has failed to deliver on their day one promise to lower the high cost of living, instead shielding Trump from accountability on his reckless tariffs and refusing to extend ACA tax credits and lower health insurance costs for millions of Americans. At the same time, Republicans passed the least popular piece of legislation in modern American history by gutting Medicaid and food assistance programs to give massive tax breaks to GOP billionaire donors.

DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Donald Trump thinks Republicans will lose the House majority. What does Richard Hudson have to say?”
