| After getting caught scrubbing their websites of Trump and running away from their unpopular agenda, so-called “MAGA Majority” challengers have been summoned to Dallas to audition for Trump’s dirty dollars like they are contestants on a bad reboot of “The Apprentice.”
While Republicans twist themselves into knots on how to address “Trumpalooza” as the political anchor that it is, a handful of struggling Republican challengers are desperate for Trump’s campaign cash and frankly, to stay in his good graces.
As punishment for their recent public transgressions against Trump, they now have to take valuable time away from the campaign trail and rush to the ill-advised Trump spectacle to dance in front of their boss to demonstrate how loyal they are to him.
The candidates confirmed to attend the ill-fated midterm convention are:
- Mike Bouchard Jr. (MI-10)
- Marty O’Donnell (NV-03)
- Eric Flores (TX-34)
- Carlos De La Cruz (TX-35)
- Joe Mitchell (IA-02)
Each of the Republican challengers who have been caught scrubbing their websites know they have no momentum, no message and need all the help they can get defending an unpopular GOP agenda of rising costs, lost health care, a forever war in the Middle East, and a level of corruption Americans are tired of.
DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“This is the problem with running as a Republican these days. You don’t work for the American people, you only exist to make Trump happy. So when he demands Apprentice-style auditions in front of him for campaign cash – Republicans will gladly ditch their districts to bend the knee and remind voters back home where their true loyalties lie.” |
