This Thursday, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will come to Capitol Hill for meetings with Speaker Paul Ryan, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and other Republican Senate and House Members. Given that McSally has not said she opposes Trump (in a blatantly obtuse statement that demonstrated a disregard for both transparency and the intelligence of her constituents), will she sit down for a meeting to iron out plans for the Trump Ticket, like campaign travel to Arizona’s 2nd District or joint Mcsally fundraisers?
“Amazingly, Congresswoman McSally claims to need more time to evaluate Trump even after he played coy with the Ku Klux Klan, attacked war hero John McCain, mocked people with disabilities, vowed to deport millions of immigrants, and much more. Either she is playing Arizonans for fools or she doesn’t have a problem with Trump’s reckless views and bigoted rhetoric – either is unacceptable. It’s time for McSally to end the games and tell the people where she stands on the leader of her party,” said DCCC Spokesman Tyler Law.
