In new reporting from POLITICO, Congressman Troy Nehls enthusiastically declared his support for Donald Trump’s efforts to strip away health care from millions of Americans.
When asked if he wanted to join Trump in his efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, Nehls said:
Yeah, we need to do something. Our health system is in disarray. It’s too expensive, prescriptions — uh, I think President Trump has a great plan, and I would support whatever he — whatever that plan is.
WATCH:
REMINDER: Nehls and his fellow Republicans – including the most vulnerable House Republicans – banded together to vote against efforts to lower prescription drug costs last Congress, including capping the price of insulin and ten other drugs for seniors and Medicare recipients, so it’s no surprise Nehls is continuing this dangerous crusade.
DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“Extreme MAGA Republicans are hellbent on decimating the Affordable Care Act and forcing millions of Americans to lose their private health care, which is not only disastrous, but wildly unpopular.”
