When he’s not hiding from his constituents and voting for election-deniers for speaker, vulnerable freshman Republican Tom Kean Jr. is campaigning with anti-abortion extremists back home.
On Saturday, Kean Jr. will be at a fundraiser with Mike Pappas who opposes “abortion even in cases of rape and incest.” Similarly to Kean Jr., Pappas has refused to answer questions about his war on women’s reproductive freedoms.

In the New Jersey state legislature, Kean Jr. voted against codifying a woman’s right to choose.

In Congress, he voted against consideration of the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would codify the reproductive freedoms in Roe v. Wade.

Last week, Kean Jr. voted twice for Jim Jordan, who wants a nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions.

“Tom Kean Jr. continues to campaign with and vote for anti-abortion extremists who are hell bent on taking away women’s reproductive rights. New Jerseyans deserve real representation, not a puppet controlled by the far-right fringes of the Republican Party.”
