Tenney Tells Local Media One Thing; Her Handlers Say Another
Failed former Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (Spectrum-22) was caught saying wildly different things regarding the United States Post Office between interviews and canned statements written by her advisors paid for by Spectrum’s corporate cash.
Tenney told the Utica Observer Dispatch that the mail delay crisis impacting millions of seniors, veterans, small businesses, and working families was a “phony issue.” Shortly after the story published with her interview and she wiped the egg off her face, her campaign put out a statement claiming the gaffe-prone member supported the Postal Service.
“It would seem Claudia Tenney is short a high capacity processing machine for how she feels and what her handlers want her to say,” said DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett. “Rural communities across New York’s 22nd district rely on the Postal Service and Claudia Tenney calling their struggles ‘phony’ is a slap in the face. No wonder Upstate voters marked her return to sender last time she was on the ballot.”
