Two Months After Anthony D’Esposito Protected George Santos, the Indicted Criminal is Still Serving in Congress

When Anthony D’Esposito voted to protect his criminally-indicted colleague instead of expelling him, he defended his cowardly inaction with false argumentsclaiming that “this is the quickest way of ridding the House of Representatives of this scourge on government.”

Well – it’s been more than 60 days and Rep. Santos is still a member of Congress thanks to D’Esposito.

It’s clear D’Esposito has no intention of keeping his word and holding his criminal colleague accountable.

DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“If Anthony D’Esposito actually cared about Long Islanders, he would stop protecting a Congressperson who is a serial fraudster and admitted criminal. It’s well past time for D’Esposito to expel George Santos and stop hiding behind a bureaucratic loophole to avoid doing his job.”

REMINDER: Read the DCCC memo exposing the false narrative of Republicans referring George Santos to the ethics committee as a ‘fast process’ HERE.
