Two Year Anniversary of Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, A Reminder That Mike Garcia Stood Against Rebuilding California’s Economy

Two years ago, Mike Garcia actively attempted to block a once-in-a-generation investment in America’s infrastructure that has created good-paying union jobs, fixed our crumbling roads and bridges, and expanded high-speed internet access.

Despite Garcia’s effort to block the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the law will continue to:

  • Enable low-income households to access free or discounted high-speed internet service

  • Improve hundreds of thousands of miles of roads and fix thousands of bridges

  • Strengthen supply chains and expedite the movement of goods

  • Invest and modernize airport terminals

  • Upgrade our nation’s ports and waterways

DCCC Spokesperson Dan Gottlieb:
“House Republicans like Mike Garcia have failed to deliver common-sense legislation that would make life better for Californians. Instead, he has propagated an extreme agenda that hurts middle-class families and benefits the wealthy and well-connected.”
