Two-Year Anniversary of Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, A Reminder That Sharice Davids Helped Rebuild Kansas’ Economy

Two years ago, President Biden signed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – a once-in-a-generation investment in America’s infrastructure championed by Congresswoman Sharice Davids. It’s creating good-paying union jobs, fixing our crumbling roads and bridges, and expanding high-speed internet access.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will continue to:

  • Improve hundreds of thousands of miles of roads and fix thousands of bridges

  • Strengthen supply chains and expedite the movement of goods

  • Invest and modernize airport terminals

  • Enable 12,000 households in Kansas’ third district to access free or discounted high-speed internet service, reducing costs by nearly $4.3 million annually

  • Upgrade our nation’s ports and waterways

Thanks to Rep. Davids, Kansas is receiving approximately $3.1 billion for more than 258 projects to invest in high-speed internet across the state, expand US 69, and improve water quality by replacing lead pipes.

DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is rebuilding Kansas’ crumbling roads and bridges, expanding high-speed internet access, and creating good-paying union jobs. This once-in-a-generation investment could not have been made possible without the tireless efforts of Rep. Sharice Davids.”
