Ahead of the House preparing to vote for the Inflation Reduction Act, Big Pharma sent marching orders to members demanding they vote against legislation to lower the cost of prescription drugs for working families.
The Inflation Reduction Act will lower the cost of prescription drugs, reduce the deficit, and lower inflation at a time when Minnesotians need it most.
And Tyler Kistner has already proven he’d side with the drug companies instead of fighting for the best interests of Minnesotans. A Big Pharma-backed dark money group has spent millions supporting Kistner and other candidates who they know would do their bidding in Congress. Kistner would have voted against capping the cost of insulin at $35 and he is opposed to allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices to lower costs for Minnesotans. Kistner has a history of siding with the insurance companies and Big Pharma over patients, saying he’d repeal the Affordable Care Act and oppose Medicaid expansion.
COMPARE THIS: To Congresswoman Angie Craig who “stands up to Big Pharma in fight for affordable drugs.”
DCCC Spokesperson Matt Corridoni:
“Time and time again, Tyler Kistner has shown us he would side with Washington special interests over hardworking Minnesota families. While Congresswoman Angie Craig is standing up to Big Pharma, Tyler Kistner would gladly vote against reducing inflation and cutting the costs of prescription drugs. Minnesota can’t afford to trade a champion for patients with someone who would follow orders from special interests.”
