U.S. Economy Loses 23K Jobs In July Under Republican Rule

New job numbers today help explain why Nevadans were not impressed with Donald Trump and House Republicans’ Las Vegas rally this week — the GOP economy is a disaster and workers are bearing the brunt of it.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. economy unexpectedly lost 23,000 jobs in July. At the same time, inflation continues to outpace wage gains, leaving middle-class households with stagnant paychecks and higher prices on gas, groceries, rent, and everyday essentials.

“If Donald Trump and House Republicans spent half as much time listening to everyday Americans as they do staging these self-serving rallies, they might realize their economy is a complete disaster. Voters are sick and tired of the lies and broken promises, which is why the GOP is staring down defeat in November.”
