Thanks to President Biden and Democrats in Congress, American workers are getting back on the job in record numbers week after week, and surpassing expert predictions along the way.
Today’s jobs report shows that unemployment claims dropped last week to 290,000, marking the second week in a row that claims have fallen below 300,000 and marking yet another record low since the pandemic began.
Because President Biden and Congressional Democrats refused to let Republicans stand in the way of our nation’s economic progress, Democrats’ economic plan has brought nearly 5 million Americans back to work, put more money in the pockets of hardworking families with a historic middle-class tax cut, and revived our economy.
“Since taking office, Democrats have made clear that their top priority is to deliver real results for the American people and help them build back better,” said DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre. “While extremist Republicans spend their time prolonging the pandemic by telling lies about the effectiveness of vaccines, House Democrats are working each day on their agenda to keep delivering results to the American people.”
