Valadao Delivers Billionaire Pay Bump at the Expense of Central Valley Families

New analysis of David Valadao’s Big, Ugly Bill makes clear who he is fighting for – and it’s not the Central Valley.

According to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, the GOP Tax Scam will cost working class Americans an average of $1,200 a year and hand the wealthiest Americans an additional $13,600 annually.

For David Valadao’s constituents, the losses hit especially hard. His vote rips away health care from 65,000 people and could slash food assistance for more than 60,000 households in his district – all so the ultra-wealthy can pocket another tax break.

California’s 22nd District has the highest share of Medicaid recipients of any Republican-held district in the country. Yet Valadao doubled down on dismantling the very programs his constituents rely on: health care, food assistance, and tax credits that make ends meet, while ensuring the wealthiest Americans walk away with a cash haul.

DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“David Valadao showed exactly where his true allegiance lies – with billionaires, not the families he was elected to represent. The Central Valley deserves a representative who will fight to lower costs and expand opportunity, not someone who sells them out to hand giveaways to the ultra-wealthy.”
