| Don’t worry, everyone! David Valadao’s been hard at work…lecturing others about leadership.
But when it came time for him to show an ounce of backbone, Valadao folded — voting with his own party bosses to rip Medi-Cal from 65,000 of his own constituents and food access from 60,000 households in his district. Despite representing the largest share of Medicaid recipients out of any Republican in Congress, Valadao cast the deciding vote to cut nearly $1 trillion from the lifesaving program, threatening rural hospitals in the process.
And while he’s busy lecturing others about “doing their job,” 5.5 million Californians just lost access to their CalFresh benefits because David Valadao and his MAGA pals refused to return to Washington and do theirs – putting health care for 1.7 million Californians at risk.
