VALADAO TOOK JEB BUSH’S ‘RIGHT TO RISE’ PAC MONEY – DOES HE THINK HE HAS THE ‘RIGHT TO RAISE’ THE SOCIAL SECURITY RETIREMENT AGE TO 70?

Jeb Bush, who recently said he supports raising the Social Security retirement age to “68 or 70,” officially threw his hat in the ring for the Republican presidential primary yesterday.

Congressman David Valadao took $5,400 from Bush’s ‘Right to Rise’ PAC, which makes us wonder: does Congressman Valadao also think he has the ‘right to raise’ the Social Security retirement age to 70? Raising the retirement age would be a major assault to older Americans in the Central Valley and around the country who have counted on a secure and timely retirement.

“Congressman Valadao has quickly cozied up to Jeb Bush and his ‘Right to Rise’ PAC, thanks to their shared ‘conservative vision.’ Does Congressman Valadao also think he has the ‘right to raise’ the Social Security retirement age to 70? Central Valley voters deserve to know if Valadao supports ripping the rug out from underneath senior citizens,” said Barb Solish of the DCCC.
