The National Republican Congressional Committee announced today that former Vice President Dick Cheney has been chosen as their featured guest at their high dollar March special interest fundraiser. It was previously reported that Mitt Romney was their first choice for keynote.
“If House Republicans are looking back fondly at the economic catastrophe that was the Bush-Cheney administration for inspiration, their party is in big trouble,” said Josh Schwerin of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “We should not be looking for leadership from a guy who oversaw the housing crisis, the collapse of the stock market, and soaring unemployment. Democrats are working tirelessly to improve middle class economics, creating jobs, and continuing our unprecedented economic growth while House Republicans are trying to take us back to the failed policies of Dick Cheney.”
