VIDEO: Carlos Curbelo Again Refuses To Disclose Lobbying Clients, Says “File A Complaint”

On CBS’s Facing South Florida on Sunday Carlos Curbelo was again asked by host Jim DeFede if he would release a list of his firm’s lobbying clients to prove that there is no conflict of interest with his work on the School Board. Curbelo once again refused, and here’s his response: “file a complaint.”

The Miami New Times previously reported that Curbelo “has a history of approving contracts for campaign donors” on the School Board, funneling millions of tax dollars meant for schools, children and teachers to his political cronies. Last weekend on ABC’s This Week in South Florida both Republican Ed MacDougall and local political blogger Elaine De Valle also slammed Curbelo for refusing to disclose his list of lobbying clients.

“Carlos Curbelo’s refusal to disclose his lobbying clients or answer simple questions is just the latest example proving why South Floridians cannot trust Curbelo in Congress,” said David Bergstein of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Whether he’s funneling millions of tax dollars to his political cronies or hiding his lobbying clients, Curbelo always puts his own political ambitions over South Florida families –and Curbelo is now limping through his primary hamstrung by this growing scandal.”
