This legislation extends crop insurance to small Connecticut farms like the voter’s own, where yearly crop yields can be difficult to predict and often risky for farmers.
The Save Our Small Farms (SOS) Act also supports local livestock processing — a current bottleneck to selling our lamb and beef locally.
As a member of the Agriculture Committee, Jahana Hayes has clearly done her homework to address the needs of farmers like me.
