| Virginia Red to Blue candidates Elaine Luria, Shannon Taylor, and Tom Perriello are teaming up to launch the VA House Victory 2026 – a joint fundraising campaign that will help drive donations into flipping three of the most competitive House seats in the entire country.
The Washington Post recently spotlighted how Democrats remain on offense across Virginia, thanks in large part to the strength of Luria, Taylor, and Perriello’s campaigns.
ABOUT THE RACES
VA-01
Virginia’s First Congressional District is at the dead center of the House battlefield, and there is a clear path to victory in this rapidly Democratic-trending seat after Governor Abigail Spanberger carried the seat by 2 points this past November. Henrico Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Taylor is an incredibly strong candidate with a record of taking on violent criminals, fraudsters, and scammers to protect Virginians. Incumbent Congressman Rob Wittman is uniquely vulnerable due to his nearly twenty-year record of corruption and his votes to jack up costs and rip away health care. Polling conducted right around Shannon’s entrance into the race showed that she is locked in a dead heat with Wittman.
VA-02
Virginia’s 2nd District is a true bellwether district, and the Washington Post has declared it as one of Democrats’ “best opportunities to flip a red seat” in the entire country. Navy veteran and former Congresswoman Elaine Luria knows what it means to put service over self, and she has a proven track record of working with anyone to expand access to health care and deliver for our veterans and servicemembers. Incumbent Republican Congresswoman Jen Kiggans has voted with Donald Trump 100% of the time, serving as a rubber stamp for his cost-spiking agenda. Polling shows that Democrats have a prime opportunity to flip this Coastal Virginia swing seat.
VA-05
A weak incumbent, strong challenger, and favorable national environment for Democrats have put Virginia’s 5th Congressional District in play. Tom Perriello is a lifelong native of Virginia and the Blue Ridge who has spent decades fighting corruption so that working families can get a fair shot. In 2008, Tom was elected to Congress and provided a courageous vote for the passage of the Affordable Care Act – lowering costs and increasing access to health care for Virginians, even when it meant sacrificing politically. Incumbent Republican Congressman John McGuire is a complete and total creep – known for being the lone vote to allow child marriage – who is making Virginians’ lives more expensive while he personally cashes in on their pain. Polling shows a clear path to victory for Perriello in this Red to Blue race.
