Voted No, Took The Dough: Scott Perry Promotes Restaurant Fund He Opposed

At Tele-Townhall Perry Lies About His Attempts to Overturn Election, Instigate Attack on Capitol

How times change. Just two months ago, Sedition Caucus member and white nationalist conspiracy theorist, Rep. Scott Perry voted against the American Rescue Plan.

In an op-ed, Perry quoted iconic character Lloyd Braun from Seinfeld to explain his opposition to the bill.

Serenity now, insanity later.” That’s a great sitcom punchline where the characters find out the hard way that just repeating a pleasant-sounding mantra doesn’t ward off the effects of bad practices.

Perry further described the American Rescue plan as “monstrous,” “a media relations scheme,” “a farce,” and “wasn’t about relief at all.”

Fast forward to the present and we’d like to quote another great sitcom character, Michael Scott, “Well, well, well. How the turntables.” Specifically, restaurant tables reopening in Pennsylvania because of the American Rescue Plan.

Last night on Facebook, Perry took a break from spreading white nationalist propaganda to promote the Restaurant Revitalization Fund.

Where does this fund that includes $28.6 billion for the food services industry come from you ask? Oh, it comes from the American Rescue Plan Act that Perry voted against.

“Scott Perry voted no and took the dough,” said DCCC spokesman James Singer. “Democrats are the ones screaming ‘serenity now, insanity later’ as we watch Perry flip-flop to promote a vital program for restaurant owners he opposed just months ago.”
