| Vulnerable House Republicans in some of the most competitive races in the country are privately freaking out about Donald Trump’s disastrous presidency – forecasting the fear Republicans have of his drag on their ability to hold the majority.
As NBC News reports:
This week, a new poll from CNN found 70% of voters disapprove of Donald Trump’s handling of the economy. Democrats are leading the generic ballot polling average by 6.6% and even internal GOP polls point toward a midterm disaster for Republican incumbents and “MAGA Majority” candidates.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“We welcome vulnerable House Republicans to join the least popular president in modern American history on the campaign trail. Even if they don’t, their disastrous record of cheerleading his tax scam, shamelessly defending his war of choice, and failing to insert congressional oversight on his reckless tariffs is enough to sink every GOP campaign on the House battlefield. No wonder their only hope is to cheat.”
