So-called moderate House Republicans admitted today that they are “only comfortable” with $500 billion in cuts to Medicaid, according to new reporting from Punchbowl News.
Republican Leadership and Members of the Energy & Commerce Committee are reportedly working to repeal Medicaid expansion and kick millions of Americans off their health insurance all so that they can fund tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“This big, ugly bill just got even worse—swing-seat Republicans are now admitting they’ll enact the largest Medicaid cut in American history to fund trillions in tax breaks for their billionaire donors, like Elon Musk. If House Republicans actually pass their tax scam, voters will hold them accountable next year.”
