The latest plan introduced by extreme MAGA Republicans – and notably applauded by members of the far-right House Freedom Caucus – would jeopardize over 100,000 manufacturing jobs created since House Democrats and President Biden passed and signed into law the Inflation Reduction Act.
Most of the 100,000 jobs created thanks to this law are located in congressional districts House Republicans represent – including in states like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.
REMINDER: This extreme MAGA Republican proposal would hurt working families by raising taxes on lower-income families, stiffening work requirements for food stamp beneficiaries, and making it harder for seniors to access their hard-earned Social Security benefits.
“Extreme MAGA Republicans are willing to sacrifice the economies of their own communities all for political brinkmanship,” said DCCC spokesperson Tommy Garcia. “Vulnerable House Republicans must answer for the hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs they’re willing to destroy as part of the extreme MAGA Republican plan.”
