With national diesel prices at all-time highs, gas prices above $4 dollars a gallon, and grocery prices rising through the roof, House Republicans voted to allow Trump’s war in Iran to continue and ignore rising costs.
Tonight’s vote is the latest indicator of how out of touch House Republicans are from the American people on an issue that is 20 points underwater.
Republicans’ reckless war of choice in the Middle East has cost taxpayers nearly $40 billion and fueled inflation.
In ceding all War Powers authority to Trump, House Republicans are reminding everyday Americans they don’t work for the hardworking families that they were elected to represent, they just do what their leader tells them to.
DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“House Republicans voting to rubberstamp Trump’s war of choice in the Middle East perfectly encapsulates why Republicans will lose the midterms: they refuse to actually work for their constituents. Despite the American people demanding them to oppose the war and lower costs, vulnerable Republicans ignore the folks back home to fall in line behind Trump.”
