Vulnerable New York Republicans Are Full of It On Santos Expulsion. We Have the Receipts.

Vulnerable New York Republicans Nick LaLota, Anthony D’Esposito, Mike Lawler, Marc Molinaro, and Brandon Williams conveniently recovered from group amnesia this week by suddenly realizing that it’s politically expedient to attempt to expel criminally-indicted George Santos.

LaLota, D’Esposito, Lawler, Molinaro and Williams’ gutless resolution in a Speaker-less House is a desperate attempt at distancing themselves from their decision to protect Santos from the exact same charge exactly five months ago when they first had the chance to expel the serial liar.

Don’t worry, we have the receipts.

Here’s what the vulnerable Republicans have said on record, once again proving they’re full of it when it comes to expelling serial liar George Santos:

  • “We expect a result within 60 days and for the terrible liar to be gone, by resignation or expulsion, before August recess.” – Rep. Nick LaLota

  • “The quickest way to rid this institution of this stain is to refer this issue to the House Ethics Committee. I expect the bipartisan House Ethics Committee to move quickly, and take the necessary action to rid the House of Representatives of this scourge on our government.” – Rep. Anthony D’Esposito

  • “If he had any dignity or decency he would resign… but you need two-thirds of the votes to expel someone so, you know, it’s the reality of numbers.” – Rep. Mike Lawler

  • “I expect the Ethics Committee to conduct an immediate and swift review.” – Rep. Marc Molinaro
