Vulnerable Republicans Must Answer Trump’s Latest Attack: “NO MORE DACA DEAL!”

On Easter Sunday, President Trump took to Twitter to officially rule out a future DACA deal. This comes despite promising for months that he wanted to see a DACA solution for the more than 800,000 DREAMers protected under this critical program.

This morning, the DCCC is calling on every one of these vulnerable Republicans representing heavily diverse Congressional Districts to answer for Trump’s latest attacks on DREAMers and their own inexcusable failure to reach a legislative fix on DACA:

  • CA-10 – Jeff Denham
  • CA-21 – David Valadao
  • CA-22 – Devin Nunes
  • CA-25 – Steve Knight
  • CA-45 – Mimi Walters
  • CA-48 – Dana Rohrabacher
  • CA-50 – Duncan Hunter
  • CO-03 – Scott Tipton
  • CO-06 – Mike Coffman
  • FL-25 – Mario Diaz-Balart
  • FL-26 – Carlos Curbelo
  • TX-07 – John Culberson
  • TX-21 – Lamar Smith
  • TX-23 – Will Hurd
  • TX-31 – John Carter
  • TX-32 – Pete Sessions

“For far too long, House Republicans have used immigration and DREAMers for political expediency and to mask their extreme agenda,” said DCCC Hispanic Media Director Javier Gamboa. “Now that President Trump has officially ruled out a deal on DACA, vulnerable House Republicans must immediately demand that Republican leadership bring a bill that protects DREAMers to the House floor. Failure to do so will only prove that their intentions to find a DACA solution was nothing but a lie. Make no mistake: they will face a backlash at the ballot box in November.”
