Rep. Ann Wagner’s (MO-02) recent FEC reports from Q3 show that Wall Street is rewarding their “biggest supporter” handsomely for her votes in their favor: Wagner once again raked in the corporate cash, taking another $63,500 in contributions from special interests and corporate PACs. Her continued reliance on special interests to bankroll her campaign is no surprise from the politician whose “loyalty to [the] financial industry stinks of swamp politics,” and she’s got the voting record to match.
Wagner’s tenure in Congress shows a long history of shady pay-for-play and siding with her corporate donors over Missourians, including:
-
Taking more than a quarter million dollars from Big Pharma and voting against allowing the government to negotiate lower drug prices,
-
Raising millions from Wall Street donors and big corporations over the course of her career and voting to give massive tax breaks to big corporations and against financial regulation and consumer protections, and
-
Cashing $74,000 in PAC checks from a big corporation that made and imported ‘forever chemicals’ then voting against the PFAS Action Act, legislation to improve national drinking water standards and protect Americans, military bases, and the environment from those same harmful forever chemicals.
“It’s no wonder Ann votes against clean drinking water and lower drug prices for Missourians — she’s deep in the pockets of the corporate PACs who got her to Congress in the first place,” said DCCC spokesperson Monica Robinson.
