Michigan voters took a hit today, when Washington Republicans chose their two favorite candidates in Michigan’s 1st District primary in naming both Tom Casperson and Jason Allen to the NRCC’s “Young Guns” program for competitive districts.
Tom Casperson and Jason Allen, both career politicians, have spent decades voting against middle-class families in Lansing. Allen was even a highly-paid official as Governor Snyder’s political appointee to the VA.
“Casperson and Allen are career politicians who have spent decades between them in Lansing, so it’s no wonder Washington Republicans are throwing their support behind them,” said Sacha Haworth of the DCCC. “I wonder what conservative Michigan voters think about the NRCC promoting two establishment candidates?”
