WATCH: Bill Huizenga Has No Idea How Much Gas Costs in Southwest Michigan

Bill Huizenga is in serious need of a reality check. 

When asked if he knows how much families are paying at the pump in Southwest Michigan, Huizenga claimed that he had fueled up for $3.73 a gallon. 

NEWSFLASH: Gas prices have surged past $5 in some parts of Michigan, hitting a record of over $4.80 on average, because of Huizenga’s vote to greenlight Republicans’ reckless, cost-spiking war of choice.

Huizenga: Well, yesterday I bought it [gas] for $3.73…
The cherry on top? Huizenga campaigned on a promise to “lower energy costs to make life more affordable for hardworking families” in 2024. Oops.
