WATCH: DCCC LAUNCHES ITS FIRST SPANISH-LANGUAGE MIDTERM TV AD IN CALIFORNIA’S 39th CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
Today in California’s 39th Congressional District, the DCCC announced its first Spanish-language television ad of the 2018 election cycle. Sueño highlights DCCC’s Red to Blue candidate Gil Cisneros’ strong record on higher education and his commitment to helping young Latino students go to college. The ad also highlights Republicans’ attacks on affordable education and their opposition to citizenship for DREAMers. The ad is airing through California’s June 5th primary.

The DCCC has built the largest and most diverse battlefield in over a decade, currently targeting 104 congressional districts. This is the first of many Spanish-language TV ads that the DCCC will air as part of its robust efforts to turnout Spanish-speaking voters in the midterms. In comparison to the 2016 election cycle, this is the earliest the DCCC has launched a Spanish-language television ad.
“Latino families deserve a champion who will fight for them and their future, and that’s why Gil Cisneros’ commitment to empowering Latino students and protecting hardworking DREAMers makes him the best choice to represent California’s 39th district,” said DCCC Hispanic Media Director Javier Gamboa. “While Congressional Republicans are laser focused on gutting education funding and failing to provide a solution for DREAMers, Democrats are talking to voters about the issues impacting their communities. That’s why on June 5th, it’s critical that Orange County voters show up to support Democrat Gil Cisneros for Congress.”
