Today, in the special election for Ohio’s Twelfth Congressional District, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced a new television ad targeting Troy Balderson’s support for the Republican Tax Scam and raising the retirement age for Medicare and Social Security benefits. The ad will begin running tomorrow, July 20th, and is the first ad the DCCC has aired in the OH-12 special election.
The ad, “Happy,” holds Balderson accountable for the threat he poses to retirement security for central Ohioans. Specifically, the DCCC highlights Balderson’s support for the Republican tax bill that will add $2 trillion to the debt and could lead to cuts to Medicare and Social Security benefits, and his willingness to raise the retirement age for Medicare and Social Security.
