Incumbent Michelle Steel and national Republicans have now spent millions of dollars in a disgraceful campaign to smear the patriotism of Taiwanese American and veteran Lt. Commander Jay Chen (res.). Their dirty and dangerous tactics have been roundly condemned by prominent Asian American leaders, advocacy groups, and outlets.
Last night, in an in-studio interview on Fox 11, Jay Chen set the record straight – while making the stakes of this election clear. For months, Michelle Steel has dodged forums, debates and interviews, preferring to let her dark money wage a disinformation war on the very constituents she is supposed to represent.
As Jay Chen makes clear, Steel doesn’t want to address the issues – from abortion rights, to lowering prices, to gun control – because her radical record is widely out of step with the voters of CA-45. Last night, Jay Chen defined the stakes of this race and offered a powerful condemnation of Michelle Steel’s dangerous tactics.
