Trenton Pol Pocketed Nearly 1 Million from Health and Insurance Interests, Opposes Plan to Lower Costs of Rx Drugs
Today, the DCCC will begin airing a new ad in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District on cable. This ad follows previous DCCC ads in NJ07, “Not Up for the Job” and “What Does it Say?”
Tom Kean Jr. is exactly what’s wrong with our politics. The Trenton insider pocketed nearly 1 million dollars from health and insurance special interests all while refusing to protect health care and opposing protections for New Jerseyans with pre-existing conditions. He even opposes a plan to lower the skyrocketing costs of prescription drugs. That’s just wrong.
We can’t trust Tom Kean Jr.
DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett released the following statement:
“Tom Kean Jr. represents everything we hate about politics. In Trenton, Kean Jr. has been on the side of the special interests filling his campaign coffers, siding with them while opposing health care coverage for folks with pre-existing conditions and opposing a plan to lower the costs of prescription drugs. New Jerseyans want to elect someone they can trust, and that’s not Tom Kean Jr.”
