WATCH: NEW DCCC AD IN OH-01 HIGHLIGHTS CAREER POLITICIAN STEVE CHABOT’S RECORD OF PERKS & SELF DEALING

Today, the DCCC announced its first television ad in Ohio’s 1st Congressional District targeting Rep. Steve Chabot for spending 20 years in Washington enriching himself and enjoying the perks of being a Member of Congress instead of helping the people of Cincinnati.

The ad, “TOO LONG”, highlights how Career Politician Steve Chabot has spent his 20 years in office putting himself first, spending over $250,000 in taxpayer money to travel to 79 countries and in a move that “smacks of self-dealing” paying $170,000 to his son-in-law’s company.

“Given that Steve Chabot has spent 20 years in Washington traveling the world on the taxpayer dime and enriching himself and his family, it is no wonder the hardworking people of Ohio’s 1st Congressional District are ready to fire him and get an actual representative who puts Cincinnati families first,” said DCCC Spokesperson Amanda Sherman.

SCRIPT:

After twenty years in Washington, Congressman Steve Chabot stopped helping us and started helping himself.

Chabot spent a quarter million on taxpayer funded travel visiting seventy-nine countries.

And now Chabot faces a new scandal for funneling one hundred seventy thousand dollars to his son-in-law.

A deal so shady it smacks of nepotism and self-dealing.

Steve Chabot.

A career politician looking out for himself.
