Garcia Failed to Pay His Taxes, While Calling for California Taxpayers To Pay More
Today, in the race for California’s 25th Congressional District, the DCCC announced a new television ad that makes clear exactly who Republican Mike Garcia is and how, as a millionaire, he thinks he plays by his own set of rules. Garcia supports Washington Republicans’ tax hike on middle class families in California to pay thousands more in taxes, while he has repeatedly failed to pay his own.
The DCCC’s ad reminds voters that while millionaire Mike Garcia refuses to pay his own taxes and supports raising them for thousands of homeowners in California, Garcia has already stated he supports cuts to Medicare to cover a fraction of the cost of his Washington tax handout.
“Republican millionaire Mike Garcia thinks he lives and plays by his own rules – calling for California homeowners to pay higher taxes while repeatedly failing to pay his own,” said DCCC Spokesperson, Andy Orellana. “As if that wasn’t enough of an insult to Californians who work hard and play by the rules, Mike Garcia is ready to cut Medicare benefits for California’s seniors to cover a fraction of the cost of his tax scam.”
