“Dave Brat went full Washington”
Today, in the race for Virginia’s Seventh Congressional District, the DCCC announced a new television ad that hammers Dave Brat for voting to add $1.9 trillion to the debt and uses his own words about the national debt against him to show just how quickly he has gone Washington. The ad begins airing in the district today.

The ad, “Full Washington,” quotes Brat saying that the national debt is a national security threat, and then shows that after taking hundreds of thousands in campaign contributions from special interests, he voted to give those donors a huge tax break while exploding the national debt by $1.9 trillion.

Dave Brat to break one of his central campaign promises is a few hundred thousand dollars in campaign contributions, which makes him just about the same as any other Washington politician.
