WATCH: NEW DCCC KS-03 AD PUTS A FACE TO YODER’S HARMFUL HEALTHCARE RECORD

Today, in the race for Kansas’ Third Congressional District, the DCCC announced a new TV ad that shares the personal impact of Kevin Yoder’s harmful healthcare record. The ad “Making it Harder” begins airing across the district today, and is the third ad from the DCCC in the race.

Rep. Kevin Yoder has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from insurance companies and voted to make it harder for Kansans to afford healthcare. Despite the backlash back home, Yoder voted for the AHCA, which would raise healthcare costs, in addition to slapping an age tax on older Americans, gutting protections for people with pre-existing conditions, and jeopardizing health insurance for 53,300 in his district.

He’s voted nearly 20 times to gut protections for Kansans with pre-existing conditions.

“There’s no issue more personal than healthcare,” said DCCC spokesperson Rachel Irwin. “Kevin Yoder has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from insurance companies while voting to raise healthcare costs for Kansas families. His repeated votes to gut protections for Kansans with pre-existing conditions like asthma, cancer and diabetes are disgraceful.”

Congressman Yoder voted to discriminate against people with pre-existing conditions so that it would make it harder for them to get insurance and easier on the insurance companies.

For him, it’s about the money, big business, and insurance companies. He’s not for us.
