WATCH: NEW DCCC KS-03 AD REMINDS KANSANS OF YODER’S HARMFUL HEALTHCARE RECORD

Rep. Kevin Yoder has a history of putting his special interests donors ahead of his constituents, and there’s no greater example of that than his votes to raise healthcare costs on Kansans.

Despite the backlash back home, Yoder voted for the AHCA, which would raise healthcare costs, in addition to slapping an age tax on older Americans, gutting protections for people with pre-existing conditions, and jeopardizing health insurance for 53,300 in his district. Let’s not forget his vote for the GOP Tax Scam that prioritized tax cuts for his wealthy donors while repealing a key provision of the ACA that will force Kansans to pay more in premiums for healthcare.

Now, as healthcare premiums are expected to rise by double digits, Yoder refuses to take a stand against the Trump Administration’s efforts to dismantle protections for those with pre-existing conditions, like asthma, cancer and diabetes, in federal court.

“As Congressman Yoder heads back to D.C., Kansans will be reminded of his harmful healthcare record back home,” said DCCC spokesperson Rachel Irwin. “Yoder has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from insurance companies while voting to raise healthcare costs for Kansas families and seniors. His vote to gut protections for those with pre-existing conditions like asthma, cancer and diabetes will be a huge liability as healthcare remains a top issue for voters this November.”

We already know Congressman Yoder likes to play dress up in Kansas, but in Washington he gets down to business for the special interests.

Yoder took over $300,000 from insurance interests than voted their way, allowing insurance companies to charge older Kansans more for their care and gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

Congressman Yoder takes care of them not us.
