WATCH: NEW DCCC MN-02 AD AIRS LEWIS AUDIO

Today, the DCCC launched its first TV ad of the general election in Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District. The ad airs Jason Lewis’ own words when he said “money… it’s a good way to measure how valuable people are.”

Lewis is facing backlash for his controversial remarks and this money quote speaks volumes about who he’s fighting for in D.C. In his first 18 months in office, Lewis has become cozy with the Washington special interests bankrolling his campaign. Lewis voted to allow internet companies to sell personal data, then collected their campaign cash days later.

“For Jason Lewis, money talks, so it’s no wonder he’s taken over a million dollars from special interests in his first 18 months in office,” said DCCC spokesperson Rachel Irwin. “It didn’t take long for Lewis to go to Washington and fit right in with the D.C. swamp. Lewis sold out his constituents when he voted to allow internet companies to sell their personal data, then took thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from them three days later. Lewis clearly doesn’t share Minnesota values.”
