WATCH: NEW DCCC MN-02 AD TELL VOTERS LEWIS IS “ALL WASHINGTON NOW”

Today, the DCCC launched its second TV ad of the general election in Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District. The ad calls out Rep. Jason Lewis for claiming he’s an “independent voice” when in reality he’s taken nearly a million dollars in special interest money in his first term, while voting to raise his constituents’ healthcare costs.

Watch “Really?” Here

“Jason Lewis claiming he’s independent is laughable when he’s in the pocket of D.C. special interests bankrolling his campaign,” said DCCC spokesperson Rachel Irwin. “Lewis sold out his constituents when he voted to raise their healthcare costs, gut protections for those with asthma, cancer and diabetes, and allow insurance companies to charge older Americans more. Jason Lewis is all Washington now.”

Transcript:

LEWIS: Because I’m an independent voice for Minnesota.

VO: Really Congressman?

Jason Lewis just got to Washington and already accepted nearly a million dollars in contributions from special interests.

And sided with the insurance companies voting to deny protections for pre-existing conditions and allow them to charge older Americans more.

Does that sound like an independent voice to you.

It didn’t take long, but Congressman Jason Lewis is all Washington now.
