WATCH: NEW DCCC NM-02 AD SLAMS HERRELL’S PATTERN OF CORRUPTION, SELF-SERVING WAYS

Watch “Pattern” Here

Today, the DCCC launched its third TV ad in New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District, highlighting corrupt politician Yvette Herrell’s history of serving herself in Santa Fe. While serving in the State House, Herrell was caught using her elected position for her own financial gain when she pocketed half-a-million dollars in taxpayer-funded contracts. Herrell violated ethics rules when she tried to hide these contacts from the public eye. The Albuquerque Journal editorial called her failure to disclose the income as “pretty egregious” and her denial “disingenuous at best.” And new revelations show Herrell funneled an additional half million in tax dollars to an organization run by her family.

“Even Republicans agree that Yvette Herrell is a corrupt politician who can’t be trusted,” said DCCC spokesperson Rachel Irwin. “Herrell has a history of serving herself in Santa Fe, even funneling half-a-million dollars to an organization run by her family. It’s no wonder Herrell is skipping out on public debates, she doesn’t want to confront her pattern of using her official office for personal gain.”

It’s a pattern we can’t ignore.

New revelations about Yvette Herrell serving herself.

The latest. As state rep, Herrell funneled half a million in taxpayer money to an organization run by her family, and that’s on top of another half million in taxpayer funded state contracts Herrell landed for her own company.

The Journal called Herrell’s actions a betrayal of public trust.

It’s clear. Yvette Herrell serves herself and we pay the price.
