Today, the DCCC launched its first Spanish language TV ad ahead of the general election in Florida’s 26th Congressional District. The ad titled “Familia,” is the Spanish version of the DCCC’s English language ad “Family” that was launched earlier this week, which details Corrupt Carlos Gimenéz’s long and storied record of using his position to help out his lobbyist sons.
As a reminder, both of Corrupt Carlos’ sons have profited from his positions on numerous occasions, winning government contracts that allowed one son to climb “his way to the upper echelon of South Florida’s lobbying corps.” And let’s not forget the “niñitos” involvement with the company that built the fatal FIU bridge. Even after the company came under fire after both an OSHA report and the National Transportation Board found the company knew about the bridge cracking, and their failure to stop construction… it still didn’t stop “Papito” Giménez from trying to extend their $130 million airport contract.
“It’s clear ‘Papito’ Giménez and his ‘niñitos’ have made corruption a family affair, spending years working together to sell out the families of South Florida for their own personal gain and that of their clients,” said DCCC Spokesperson Fabiola Rodriguez. “The families of South Florida have experienced firsthand the dangers of Corrupt Carlos and his ‘niñitos’ and will not allow them to take their corrupt scheme to Congress. Make no mistake, come November South Florida will reject the Giménez brand of corruption.”
