WATCH: New DCCC TV Ad Reminds Floridians It’s All in the Family for Corrupt Carlos Giménez

Today, the DCCC launched its 1st TV ad in Florida’s 26th Congressional District, “Family,” which details Corrupt Carlos Giménez’s long and storied record of using his position to help out his lobbyist sons.

Corrupt Carlos’ two sons have repeatedly profited off his positions, winning contracts that allowed one son to climb “his way to the upper echelon of South Florida’s lobbying corps.” Corrupt Carlos’ sons helped run the company that built the fatal FIU bridge. In the wake of the bridge collapse, their company came under fire after an OSHA report and the National Transportation Safety Board both found the company knew about the bridge cracking, and didn’t stop construction. But that didn’t stop Corrupt Carlos from trying to extend their multi-million dollar airport contract.

“In the Giménez family, corruption is a family affair. Corrupt Carlos Giménez and his lobbyist sons have spent years working together to sell out South Florida so the Giménez family and their clients can profit,” said DCCC Spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer. “Now Corrupt Carlos is running for Congress to take his corrupt scheme national. After his family managed the building of the fatal FIU bridge, South Florida experienced firsthand the dangers of Corrupt Carlos and his lobbyist sons – and they’re ready to reject his brand of corrupt leadership at the ballot box.”
