Coincides with DCCC Releasing Spanish Language TV and Radio Ads Hitting Garcia For A “Report Card” On His Harmful Voting Record
Today, the DCCC launched its first general election TV ads in California’s 25th Congressional District, in both English and Spanish.
“Fend,” is an English language ad highlights Mike Garcia’s out of touch record as a politician who supports giving out tax breaks to corporate executives and millionaires, like himself, while California’s working families should “fend for themselves” according to Garcia.
“Report Card” is a Spanish language ad that highlights Garcia’s record of voting with Trump almost ninety percent of the time and holds him responsible for voting against the expansion of childcare to help working families during the pandemic, and for his support of the Republican lawsuit to repeal the ACA, which protects people with pre-existing conditions.
As millions of hardworking Californians are struggling to make ends meet amid economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic, the last thing they need is an out of touch millionaire like Mike Garcia who doesn’t understand the challenges they face. Garcia instead supports a trillion-dollar tax break for millionaires and his special-interests corporate backers.
“Southern California families are struggling as they face the pandemic,” said DCCC Spokesperson Andy Orellana. “But when Southern California’s working families need someone to understand their challenges and fight for them, Mike Garcia tells them to ‘fend for themselves’ and instead supports a trillion-dollar tax handout to his special interest backers. That’s not the leadership Southern California families need.
