It’s been a full week since the news that Ben Sparks, Cresent Hardy’s campaign advisor, assaulted his fiancée and held her as a sex slave. At the time, Hardy refused to comment. Two days ago, Las Vegas police formally filed charges against Sparks – and yet Hardy still refused to condemn his former adviser. Yesterday, a reporter from the Las Vegas Review Journal caught up with Hardy and asked for comment on the scandal. Surprise – she was met with still more silence. You can watch the full video on the reporter’s Twitter here. DCCC spokesperson Drew Godinich released the following statement:
“Cresent Hardy owes Nevadans an explanation – to wait this along without addressing these heinous charges is unconscionable.”
