WATCH: Rodney Davis and Special Interests? They’re A Perfect Match.

DCCC Releases Second TV Ad in IL-13

Today, the DCCC began airing its second TV ad in Illinois’ 13th Congressional District, “Perfect Match.” The ad highlights Congressman Rodney Davis’ close relationship with special interests, taking their campaign contributions and voting to hand them $40 billion in tax giveaways, but against a bipartisan plan to lower the cost of prescription drugs for everyday Illinois families.

“After taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from the drug and insurance industry, it’s no surprise that Rodney Davis consistently votes their way in Congress,” said DCCC Spokesperson Courtney Rice. “It’s crystal clear who Rodney Davis looks out for in Washington, and it’s not Central Illinoisans.”

The first ad, “Working For,” began airing in the district on September 1 and detailed how, after taking more than half a million in campaign contributions from the insurance industry, he’s voted their way in Washington – and against the interests of Central Illinoisans.

Narrator:

Here’s the thing with the special interests in Washington.

They don’t keep handing out money to a politician unless he votes their way.

Rodney Davis was handed nearly 200 thousand in campaign contributions from big Pharma…

…and he voted to hand them $40 billion in new tax giveaways …

Davis even voted against a bipartisan plan to lower the costs of our prescription drugs.

Rodney Davis and the special interests? It’s a perfect match.
