WATCH: Shady Chabot’s Record Exposed in DCCC TV Ad

Today, the DCCC released a new TV ad that will air in the Cincinnati media market reminding Ohioans how Shady Steve Chabot has become everything that’s wrong with Washington.

Shady” exposes Chabot’s longtime record of corrupt dealings that has left Ohioans without representation they can count on to work for them in Congress. From the FBI investigation of Chabot’s campaign after $123,000 went missing to Chabot paying his son-in-law over $150,000 for updates to his campaign website to his 15 votes to repeal protections for pre-existing conditions, Chabot has made clear he’s looking out for himself, not his constituents.

“An FBI investigation, sketchy campaign payouts to his son-in-law, and 15 votes to repeal the Affordable Care Act – that is Shady Steve Chabot’s legacy in Congress,” said DCCC Spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer. “Chabot has proven he’s willing to use his campaign coffers to dole out $150,000 to his own family while selling out hardworking Cincinnati families time and again. Chabot has become everything that’s wrong with Washington.”

Ad transcript:

[Voiceover] Shady Steve Chabot.

The FBI investigated his campaign after a hundred and twenty-three thousand dollars couldn’t be accounted for.

Chabot used his political organization to pay a family member a hundred and fifty thousand dollars.

And Chabot voted fifteen times to increase health care costs and take away protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

We need a new representative.
