WATCH: Why Should Hoosiers Trust Victoria Spartz?

New DCCC TV Ad in IN-05 Highlights Spartz’s Conflicts of Interest

Today, the DCCC released “Secrets,” its fifth TV ad in IN-05 airing in the Indianapolis media market. The ad lays bare Victoria Spartz’s self-dealing and conflicts of interest – making clear that Hoosiers can’t trust her to look out for them in Washington.

As a state senator, Spartz wrote a bill that could have benefited her wealthy family – and failed to disclose that fact. During her campaign, Spartz repeatedly refused to answer questions about the source of her million dollar loan.

“Hoosiers shouldn’t have to question whether their representative is working in their best interests,” said DCCC Spokesperson Courtney Rice. “Given Victoria Spartz’s numerous conflicts of interest during her political career, how can Hoosiers trust that she’ll look out for them in Washington?”

Previous DCCC ads airing in IN-05 include “Fix,” which highlighted Spartz’s disastrous health care record; “More Secrets,” which highlighted Spartz’s fellow Republicans warning that she can’t be trusted; and “Caught” and “Typical,” which exposed Spartz for using her office to potentially enrich herself at the expense of Hoosier families.

Narrator: How many secrets is Victoria Spartz keeping?

First Spartz failed to disclose that a bill she wrote could benefit her wealthy family…

A bill that removed protections on land like the property her family wanted to develop.

Now Spartz has refused to tell us where she got the million dollars she loaned her campaign.

…raising serious concerns that she’s hiding even more conflicts of interest.

If we can’t trust Victoria Spartz now, why would we trust her in Washington?
