Republican Congressman Tom Marino throws in the towel just two weeks after taking the oath of office!
In response to Pennsylvania Congressman Tom Marino’s abrupt resignation from Congress, DCCC spokesperson Jared Smith released the following statement:
“It’s no surprise that on the same day that House Republicans voted against ending the Trump Shutdown for the ninth time, one of their members has decided he’s had enough. Instead of working across the aisle to lower health care costs and raise wages, Washington Republicans are doing everything in their power to stick it to working families across our country. While we certainly didn’t expect the first Republican retirement to happen just two weeks after they were sworn into the minority, Tom Marino is just the tip of the iceberg.”
